Geysar Alekperzade (born 2 December 1984) is a Kazakh football player of Azeri descent. He currently plays for FC Kazakhmys.
Alekperzade was born and grew up in Jezkazgan. His childhood football trainer was Galym Ibraev, current director of the local FC Kazakhmys team. Alekperzade became the captain of the FC Kazakhmys team, in the Kazakhstan First Division, where he was called one of the best offensive players of the league, scoring 53 goals in 2008. FC Kazakhmys won the division championships in 2007 and 2008. Despite his achievements, Alekperzade was turned down by the premier league team FC Shakhter Karagandy in 2008.[1]
FC Kazakhmys became a Kazakhstan Premier League team in 2009, but, according to Alekperzade, continued to pay less than other premier league teams.[1] Alekperzade joined the premier league team FC Tobol in 2009. The only teammate he had previously known was goalkeeper Aleksandr Petukhov, with whom he had played during their youth.[2]
